MARDUK Officially Cancel North American Tour!
January 25, 2002Sweden's MARDUK have been forced to cancel their North American tour with AMON AMARTH and DIABOLIC—a trek that was originally due to start on January 11th in St. Paul, Minnesota—as a result of their inability to receive the proper paperwork from the American Embassy in order to enable them to enter the country. Here is the official statement on the matter as posted on the group's official web site at www.marduk.nu: “The embassy has left the following message no visas will be issued in at least 7-14 working days from next Monday since the documents they are waiting on has not showed. If worse comes to worse the errand will be delayed further with up to a couple of months! The band do not want to give any false hope to their fans, everything looks really dark and re-routing and making new promises does not seem fair to all US friends when everything looks so uncertain. We will update you further as soon as something new happens.” AMON AMARTH and DIABOLIC are reportedly performing the shows as scheduled.
